Michael Carey
Michael practises corporate/commercial and intellectual property law in Toronto with the firm of Macdonald Sager Mansis LLP.
He is involved in trademark applications and prosecutions at all levels, including opposition proceedings and appeals to the Federal Court. His commercial practice involves giving advice on marketing, conducting business transactions and corporate restructuring.
The fastest growing part of his practice is marketing advice. How to sell to the public without crossing the line, and how to protect brands.
He received his law degree from Queen's University in 1998 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2001. He obtained Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Arts (English) degrees from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992 and 1995, respectively.
