India: Land of Branding Opportunities
India has over 300 million people in its emerging middle class, larger than North America. These families have all of the consumer needs/wants that we have. They are well-educated, English speaking, middle income families who are looking for all the meanings, associations, and benefits of Brands.
There is one big difference: They want a mix of both International Brands and new Indian Brands.
That’s the opportunity. Marketers, suppliers, and retailers are needed/wanted. Partners are needed who can help Indian marketers better understand and accept Brands and the art and science of Branding.
