Marketers in the Green
As my first contritubtion to the CMA blog, I've decided to write about something very important to me - Global Warming.
We are killing our planet, our home...
If you haven't already seen this movie, please take the time to do so.
It's called:
AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH
Al Gore is not preaching American politics, he's educating people on the consequences of our actions. Global Warming impacts everyone, the rich, the poor, the weak and the strong. It doesn't matter who you are, nobody will survive this mess that we have gotten ourselves into.
As Marketers, we were given a voice and the ability to speak to millions of people. It is our social responsibility to encourage our clients/consumers/customers etc. to go "Green". We must set the example and lead the way.
Often throughout the documentary, Al Gore states: “Within the next decade….” “Within the next couple of decades….” That’s 10 – 20 years people!
Please see the movie before you pass judgement on it. And if you are as passionate as I am (or even somewhat interested) in saving our planet, spread the word, and do your share to save it….
It's not a political issue. It's a moral issue.
